Competencies are the fundamental building blocks of successful performance. They describe the skills, knowledge, abilities and behaviours that a person must have to perform to a high level. Competencies are used in job descriptions. recruitment, performance management, training and promotion.
This competency vault contains 44 competencies that apply to many jobs across all industries. They are grouped under 6 headings:

Each Competency is defined then followed by a list of behaviours. This list of behaviours allows you to judge to what extent a person has developed that specific competency.
