Last weekend I attended Advanced Facilitation skills - a workshop run by Bob Dick, faciliation guru and Action Learning expert. The skills and ideas I picked up have renewed my enthusiasm for facilitation (ok - it never really waned….), as well as connecting me with a talented bunch of people out there doing the same thing.
Some of the stuff that I really liked included:
- how to establish and build strong relationships (even in low trust teams)
- working with teams on complex problems (with multiple cause-effect relationships)
- frameworks for giving difficult feedback to individuals
- the Human Change model and so much more.
So if you’re out there looking for a facilitator, I am now that much more equipped to work well in your siutation!
More on the content later….. To read some more about Bob and his work, check out his website here.
